I applied for an HDFC Digiyouth Savings Account online and completed all steps successfully. However, during the final Video KYC step, I got a technical error: “Apologies! Due to a technical issue at our end, we couldn’t process your request.”
I was then asked to visit the NAVAGAM KAMREJ ROAD branch to complete the process. But there, the staff informed me that I must deposit ₹30, 000 to open the account — even though the Digiyouth Savings Account clearly states that only ₹5, 000 minimum balance is required.
This is misleading and goes against what’s shown on HDFC’s official website and digital onboarding process. I have already raised this issue via email (Ref ID: [protected]), Twitter/X, and WhatsApp, but no resolution has been provided yet.
I’m a self-employed web developer and student trying to open a basic account, not a premium one. Kindly resolve this and allow me to complete the process online, as promised.
