HDFC Bank Ergo General Insurance — Cancellation of health insurance policy and refund my money

Hi, myself himadri sekhar haldar. I am a hdfc credit card holder person. Last year on september/2015, i got a call from sudipa, a customer care executive from hdfc credit card department. She told me about various offers available on my newly hdfc credit card. Also she told me that there was a free health insurance worth rs. 5, 00, 000 with validity of 2 yrs. But initially i had to pay the premium i. E. Rs. 10, 959 in 24 months emi @ rs. 525. At the end of 24 months i will get the full premium amount i. E. Rs. 10, 959 which i later found out nothing but a tricky marketing policy.

So, on 28/jan/2016 when i decided to terminate the policy, a customer care executive viz. Radha from credit card department suggested me that it would be better if i cancelled it via hdfc credit card department instead of hdfc ergo general insurance company limited. The reason behind it i would suppose to get refunded around rs. 8, 000 - 9, 000 rather than around rs. 5, 000-6, 000. But it will take 60 to 90 working days to get refunded. So, i choose to cancelled that policy by hdfc credit card department for which she gave me a cancellation no. I. E. Can00088211 on 28/jan/2016.

Now when i tried to contact that person (Radha) over telephone[protected], either she was unavailable or if she available she told me that it will take some more time. I don't know how long will it take to get my refund. So, i lost my faith in them and written a cancellation request again over e-mail ([protected]@hdfcergo.Com) on dt. 13/june/2016 regarding cancellation of hdfc ergo health suraksha policy (Policy no.[protected].In reply of my email, they informed me that they made a note of my cancellation request and i will get a call from them within 3 working days and it will take 15 working days to get refunded.

But, since now neither i got my refund money from hdfc credit card department, nor got a call from hdfc ergo general insurance company ltd. Instead of that they charged me every month rs. 525 on my hdfc credit card bill.

So, i please need you to look this matter seriously and cancel my policy and refund my money as early as possible.
