To provide local agent as my previous agent is unable to provide service

I, Arup Bhattacharya, Sr.Citizen would like to inform you that I am in need of a local agent as my previous agent is unable to provide service as her son is seriously ill.
In this regard I have sent several emails to HDFC Ergo, Grievance cell, but no help has been rendered by them.
Please solve my issue immediately as I am facing problem and no one is there to help me.

Rude in call

Recently i visited Hdfc ergo website to check the details to purchase a policy, For some reasons i cannt go further to choose or buy for now.

i am continuously getting call from customer care for two days, to one person i requested to mark not interested.

He spoke very rude and asking why for time pass you visiting website such kind of questions.

If i visited website i must buy policy?

My HDFC property and buyer insurance loan was opened falsely by saying that these are mandatory. I have been after these HDFC ergo gurgaon people for almost 2 months and they are not closing the property loan insurance account ipf No:[protected].

after 18 emails which you can see below they still don't reply and do anything.
I have paid 3 emi's against these Home and buyur insurance loan...

Be aware of Purchase CPA Policy in HDFC ergo., they're try to cheating innocent and unawares peoples of INDIA.

HDFC Itself don't know about CPA Policies.. without any knowledge of CPA they just Selling CPA policies together with motor policy to Loot Money from innocent Peoples in India

when claim arises they're find the way to escape that CPA claims.. It's very harmful to the sad demise faced Families, HDFC Intention is to make more trouble to already suffered families..

I'm Raised CPA claim be half my sister throw Customer care support on 31.08.2024 which was sad demise happened to insured person of my brother in law due to road accident while driving they owned two wheeler vehicle

when registering claim customer care person assured it'll settle within 30days.. But, it's not settled that stipulated time.. after many follow-ups later one of person in the name of surveyor visited to the our location for collect necessary documents and investigation, we are all co-operated to him and requested to settle the claim at the earliest due to we're suffering more for this uncertain demises.

then another 20-30days gone.. no one updated further regarding our claim.. later I've contacted available cell number of surveyor in HDFC self care portal, they are told it'll take some time to settle claim please wait I'm processing some cases will take 3 months to six months.

after that we are discussed 3-4times and clarified the all things and questionary's.. later they asked again already given all documents with legal heir letter.. that's all we sent by courier on 20.11.2024 delivery confirmation given on 22.11.2024

after that we are follow-ups regularly regarding our claims, many times they are not attending our calls properly whenever attend the call asking more time settle the claim., it's repeatedly continues another 3-4 months

finally they're provided another person number to contact on 25.02.2025.. I'm contacted that person and asked for this how many time do you need to settle this claim already gone 6-7 months of our claim request still it's kept pending means what's this..?

I wonder within a week they told it'll not possible to claim.. your claim will be rejecting our legal team says not possible to claim

I got Shocked and asked the reason to the CPA claim reject, They said improper things and against the rule of CPA further I had gave many explanation and IRDA guidelines of CPA But, they are not ready to accept my things more over they're not provided me any satisfying answers even all rules and regulations are displaying in HDFC website and CPA Prospects also.. still they're not ready to answer which I raised the clear explanation regarding CPA. Now said, we'll provide the rejection letter you can answer that letter

Then, I'm connected to the Customer care on 23.04.2024 customer care person provided me our Claim Officer Number to discuss further, afterwards I'm regularly calling him since 3 days but' they're not attending my call and not replied to my texts in WhatsApp

HDFC ergo Employees it self don't know about CPA Policy or acting like unknown of the Rules and Regulations

    I am writing to formally file a complaint against HDFC ERGO regarding an issue with my insurance policy. I made the payment on March 20, but my policy was not activated despite the payment. Earlier, HDFC ERGO had charged me twice for the same policy. I requested a refund for one of the payments, which I did three months ago. Now, after three months, HDFC ERGO has canceled my policy, citing my refund request as the reason. This is unfair, as I only requested a refund for the duplicate payment, not for canceling my policy. I have already spoken to my bank, and they confirmed that the payment was made. However, my policy remains inactive. I request an immediate resolution, either by reactivating my policy or providing a full refund for the amount I paid.

      I purchased an HDFC Ergo insurance policy through Insurance Dekho on September 27, 2024, which became effective from October 1, 2024. Since it was a second-hand car, I was unaware of the correct NCB percentage. Ownership was also being transferred on the policy. I opted for a 50% NCB as I was unsure about it. On Insurance Dekho, only two options were available — whether a claim had been made in the previous year or not. If "Yes," NCB was zero, and if "No," the user could select the percentage themselves. However, there was no option to specify that ownership was being transferred.

      On October 20, my car met with an accident. I used HDFC’s towing service to send the car to the service center and intimated the claim on October 21. After the claim survey, on October 11, I called the claim manager, Mr. Prashant Solanki, who informed me that the claim was approved and I would receive the total loss amount of my car. When I requested that the claim not be processed as a total loss, he insisted it would be. Later, on October 13, I called the surveyor, who confirmed that I would receive Rs. 416, 822 (my IDV was Rs. 417, 822).

      However, on November 18, when I contacted the claim manager again, he changed his statement, saying only 50% of the IDV amount would be paid. When I reached out to the Insurance Dekho team, they initially stated that 80% would be paid but later also changed their statement. I then filed a grievance via email on November 19, pointing out that the policy terms mentioned that HDFC would inform me via mail or letter if there were any discrepancies related to NCB. On November 23, the team responded, claiming they had sent a letter on October 19 and provided a tracking ID: AWB/POD No: RM[protected]IN. Upon checking, I found the letter was booked on October 22 — after my claim had already been filed.

      Following this, I escalated the matter to the Head Grievance Team and IRDAI. During this period, HDFC team members repeatedly asked for more time. Meanwhile, I received a call from the claim manager who mocked my claim and later sent a rejection letter. When contacted again, they cited a "break" in my policy as the reason for rejection, but after three days, they admitted there was no policy break. Eventually, the Head Grievance Team also approved only 50% of the claim.

      I argued that the letter was sent late and was never received. Despite this, I was willing to pay the NCB recovery amount, but the team refused. HDFC Ergo violated IRDAI rules and failed to adhere to their own terms and conditions. They continuously changed statements, causing mental harassment and pressuring me to accept the 50% settlement by stating that the claim would be canceled if not accepted within seven days.

            This is to inform you that your representative from HDFC ergo insurance has spoken very rudely to us, his name is Aashish Desai-[protected], when i told him not to speak rudely, he said he will ensure he does not get our claim settled. He spoke to my husband very rudely and said that do not tell me what i need to do. We have paid insurance amount on time. Accident happened on 31st July and till today the garage person who is working with Aashish has not given the honda city 2009 estimate, when we call he says that he will submit the estimate today, n he is saying this since 10 days, so to remove an alternate solution we called Ashish but he said aap mujhe ulta kyun bata rahe ho- this is the sentence he used, car owner Imran who is my husband was very polite to him but he was rude, i told him that u can talk politely he got angry and spoke to me very rudely and said main tumhara paisa nai nikalwayunga ab, he has given this dhamki, now i am going to take this to the higher department and will also file a case against your company HDFC ergo insurance for mental harassement for keeping us on hold for so many days and then talking rudely. We are in major loss and need our claim to be settled asap and only need one honda estimate but the garage person and Aashish are friends and system is down they said and not doing our work.. It is my humble request that if within 24 hrs you do not get my claim settled/ get it moving ahead, , i will file a FIR with police station as well and file a case against HDFC ergo insurance

              It has been more than month but still my claim is under process due to mistake done by HDFC ERGO surveyor as he asked Garve Bajaj to generate bill on customers name which he clearly mentioned in the mail that it was his mistake.

                Instead of these companies i think its always better to took insurance from online companies which is more less than 60-70 percent

                        Hi,

                        This is Srikanth.SP from Hyderabad, Have taken the HDFC Ergo Insurance last year for my four wheeler with insurance policy Number# "[protected]". Now as the policy is nearing to the expiry dated 18th Dec'23, i requested for the refund said as per the policy and HDFC ergo requested for some information regarding vehicle and was sent. Inspite of taking every requested piece of information, now they are not responding to the mails when every piece of information i had given.

                        Here is what HDFC Ergo General Insurance says from their website on the addon Cover:

                        "This is now a reality with HDFC ERGO's Pay as You Drive – Kilometer Benefit Add-On cover.
                        Under this add-on cover, if you are driving less than 10, 000 kms a year, you can claim benefit up to 25% of the basic own-damage premium at the end of the policy year. Even if your car usage is beyond 10, 000 kms, you will not be charged extra while enjoying the comprehensive coverage of your existing private car insurance. When the policy expires, subject to providing distance travelled, you can claim the benefit even if you choose not to renew the policy with us. "

                        As my vehicle odometer is falling within this criteria i requested but after getting every piece of information as per their request, now they are not responding.

                        Please help me resolve this issue by taking necessary action for not adhering to the policies what they craft and ensure refunded asap.

                          Hi Everyone, i am writing this incident in regards to my HDFC Ergo motor vehicle insurance bearing policy number:[protected].
                          I made a claim intimation with Claim Reference Number: C[protected] for my motor vehicle on 30th October 2023, for which the vehicle survey was conducted on 31st October 2023 by the surveyor & all requisite claim documents were provided them on the same day. It's been more than 19 days that HDFC team has not yet provided me proper tracking update & claim approval. Whenever i connect with the customer care team they tell me that the claim is in process and provide me with service request number & ask me to wait for next 24 hours to get an update from them but yet i have not received any satisfactory update from them. When tracking the claim through their official webiste it is not showing proper updated status, i have attached screenshot of the same for ready reference. Also, i contacted the surveyor but he asked me to contact customer care team saying that he has not received any update from their approval team. I have been renewing & paying my motor vehicle insurance premiums since last 14 years & this is what i am going through when i make a claim for my vehicle. I want HDFC team to provide me quick resolution for my claim.

                          Hi, i have not received proper reimbursement from HDFC Ergo for my Claim Id: C[protected]Service Id:[protected].

                          I would simply say that HDFC Ergo plays trick while claim settlements.

                          Firstly they delay in approving your claims, when you followup with them they put conditions to you for processing the claim like salvage deductions & all.

                          Secondly, they trick you by making payment directly to customer & not to the workshop, they don't even explain you that you will get the GST benefit if the payment is made to workshop instead of making the payment to customer. This is how they cheat & save by not paying govt. taxes.

                          Thirdly, upon revisit reinspection, they promise you to consider the parts which were unforeseen before repairing. They simply reimburse based on the initial rough estimate provided to them initially.

                          Fourthly, they do not provide you complete reimbursement for labour charges. I wish HDFC Ergo had their own workshop where we could do our vehicle servicing at lowest cost.

                          I am really very depressed by such behaviour of HDFC Ergo. I want complete reimbursement of my claim amount.

                            Purchased Optima Secure HDFC Ergo Health Insurance in 2021. It was through an agent and not sure if he was sitting out of Bombay, perhaps he was (I'm based out of Bangalore). I received the Insurance renewal reminders via SMS and email. To renew I went to their website and found that the amount they had put there was more than the premium amount I had paid for 2 years in 2021. Hence I my hesitation to renew as I wanted clarification on the amount with break up. I called their Customer Care 3-4 times, they sent emails with a break up for 1 year and 2 years, but without mentioning any discount in the break up. Now why is the discount amount important? Because on their website and as part of their sales tactic, they have something called a long-term discount of 7.5% if you pay premium for 2 years and 10% if you pay for 3 years. Now I had availed of this discount when I first bought this policy in 2021, which is now soon going to expire. I called their Grievance Redressal Officer, who then put me on to someone else after 24 hrs, who in turn has now put me on to some Case Manager in Jayanagar. And all this only because I wanted a break up of my premium so that I'm clear about the base premium, the discount amount and the GST amount. Their email in fact gave me a break up which stated tenor as 1 year for 42, 099/- which, after calling up I found that it's for 2 years. Now are customers supposed to blindly go with this and just pay up without getting any clarification? And the Grievance Redressal Officer doesn't answer calls, just texts I will call you in 5 mins, and then sends an SMS about reaching out to someone who of course says, not I, he. Isn't it ridiculous?
