[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — first year membership fee charged on life time free card

HDFC Bank Customer Care's response Dear Customer,

We are fully sensitized to your comments expressed with regard to your credit card. We note from our records that HDFC Bank Regalia first credit card was issued to you as a first-year free card by doing one transaction every month for first 3 months. We note that same was not done hence applicable membership fee of Rs.1000.00 plus service tax. Hence, the membership fee of Rs.1000.00 plus service tax is levied. to be eligible for a renewal fee waiver for a subsequent year, you are required to achieve retail spends of Rs.1, 00, 000.00 within a year. We wish to inform that the renewal fee waiver upon achieving the retail spend thresholds is applicable on all subsequent renewals.
