[Resolved] HDFC Bank — fraudulent call

Hello, Just want to report a call i received today from someone calling himself ritesh[protected], informing me about a classic assure plus policy i had supposedly originated in 2010, where i had paid a premium of rs. 40, 000 (Current value of rs. 1, 08, 000) and to liquidate which i'd need to make another 2 premium payments. He gave me the number of rajeev saxena[protected], supposedly from hdfc life's mumbai office, who is to explain the details. This obviously seems like a con-job being attempted on a large scale using the hdfc life brand. Please initiate appropriate police action against the perpetrators. Once the investigation report is out, the response would be sent to you with an update on the investigation. Verified Support Oct 30, 2017 HDFC Life Customer Care's response Hi, I would like to inform you that post conducting the investigation and verification of the above mentioned contact no.'s by us, it is revealed that the mentioned contact no.'s are not associated and neither are registered with HDFC Life. Further, I request you to be cautious and on guard against such unwanted calls. Also, I would request you not to act on any such information received in the name of HDFC Life, or IRDAI.
