[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — late fee and finance charges reversal

I have been charged late fee and finance charges for my credit card for october, november & december where in the reason for delay was bills not received on time. I had issued cheques in all cases and the clearing took time. I and my family members are preferred customers of hdfc bank from years and we also have our company corporate account in hdfc bank. Earlier i had auto-debit active for credit card payment from my bank account, but mr. Yogesh ladhwa, the relationship manager last year, 2016, had on his own activated smartpay for my airtel bills, which was not requested by me, and then he resigned and heard that he had mismanaged a lot of people's accounts. Then onwards, i deactivated smartpay for my credit card. I am mentioning this because the relationship manager now, yellangowda patil asked me why autopay is not active, so this is the reason.
Below are the details of late payment & finance charges for my credit card. I request you to kindly reverse the charges.

04.12.2017 late fee - 400.00

Hi Team,

This is surprised see that massive late payment charges has been applied moreover its corporate account and Syngenta is long time customer and having great business relationship with HDFC.
It’s true that I paid 5 days late, but there were extenuating circumstances which was inevitable.

We have long standing business relation form last 2 year and we made monthly payments on this debt, without exception. I know the due date by heart and it is also marked on my calendar.

I am really disappoint to hear the casual approach and reaction from HDFC, If you could not waive of the late payment charges we have to reconsideration to continue the service with HDFC.

We promptly resumed payments at that time, but it was too late to avoid being assessed the late fee. I’m also concerned that this will cause my interest rate to rise, or that it will otherwise affect my finance budget.
Please consider reversing the fee in light of these unusual, one-time circumstances. I wish to remain in good standing with your company.
