HDFC Bank — Problem updating the mobile number to overseas number | |||||
I am an Indian citizen residing overseas and I have a resident bank account with HDFC bank. I want to update my mobile number to overseas number as I am unable to perform transactions due to OTP being sent to my old number. When I sent a request to customer care, they didn't process the request saying my signature didn't match with bank records. But this cannot be the dead end and there must be some work around for this problem. I have sent additional documents such as passport, driving licence and Aadhaar card but they are not ready to process the request just because of the signature. I have around 5 Lakh rupees in my account and I need it to be transferred immediately for my college admission process. HDFC bank cannot be so inconsiderate to my request as I have provided all other details to corroborate my identity. I am highly disappointed with the customer service and I need my mobile number updated as soon as possible as that is the only savings I have. Was this information helpful? | |||||
