Hdfc bank customer id: 1162974
I, ganesh chikhalikar had applied for online nps account and paid my 1st contribution using the net banking services of hdfc bank. I had selected hdfc bank as one of empaneled bank for kyc verification since i have savings account in this bank for many years. However, i received a sms & email from nps/cra yesterday stating hdfc bank has rejected my kyc verification due to which whatever contribution i paid is frozen until i manually obtain the kyc verification from the bank and then submit the hard copy to nps/cra again. The kyc verification was rejected on the basis of address mismatch. Later on i checked my physical address in bank's website and found that there are two major typo errors: lfg colony instead of lig colony & the place 'nagdi' instead of 'nigdi'. So, yesterday i submitted my self attested aadhaar copy (Again) to the bank for correction in physical address online. My question is who is to be blamed for typo errors in bank database, another question is why bank didn't even call/sms me before rejecting my kyc verification. Another point is why should i not sue hdfc bank for loss of interest due to frozen investment (I paid the contribution on 18th and it is not even invested by nps yet due rejection of kyc verification by hdfc bank and it will not be invested until i clear the kyc verification issue). One more concern is why my physical address doesn't get updated as per aadhaar even after linking my aadhaar to bank account, who needs to be held responsible for that?
