I bought a HP laptop 15sdr1000tu with serial number CND9437PHG a year back with full care HP plan from reliance store Bangalore. It's been used so gently. For the past four months I was noticing that the black outer casing that covers the screen on the left side has become slightly loose and I thought it's normal. But a week back it started coming out and some rod like structure is pushing it out. So, I raised a complaint with the HP service team about this issue, they've said that this is covered under the warranty and moved it to the local service center. Later in a day I received a call from them asking to send the images of it. I've shared with them. After two days they called me and said that it doesn't come under the warranty and can be repaired only on a charged basis. The reason they said is accidental damages aren't covered. How can they conclude it by not even inspecting it and just by seeing a picture? This is not at all the case of accidental damage. The build quality of this model is not at all good. I've used it so softly and there's not even a dent on it. How can you say that it's my fault. I literally feel that my 60 thousand spending on this laptop has gone waste. What is the use of that HP care plan I brought?
There are so many issues like this and it's been resolved so smoothly for them. If it is that way for them why am I an exception. You can refer the link below for that
