Hyundai Motor India — complaint against bengal hyundai for selling defective car
Sir/madam, It is to submit before your concerned personnel that, i had booked a car (Hyundai grand i10, sportz 1.2 petrol) on 29/09/2009 for rs 10000/- vide cheque no xxxxx dated 29/09/19, drawn on allahabad bank and subsequently paid rs 4, 00, 000 /- vide cheque noxxxxxx, dated 30/09/2009 drawn on allahabad bank, to jj automotive, (Authorised showroom of hyundai india). An amount of rs 1, 90000/- was financed through state bank of india, mankundu branch towards payment for the car. Further, i had also exchanged my old maruti 800 car for an exchange value of rs30, 000 towards purchasing the new car. The said car was delivered to me from bengal hyundai, chinsurah on 23/10/19. The odometer showed a distance of more than 100 kms being run prior to the delivery of the car. During the course of running another 100 kms over the next few days, i observed that there was some noise from the engine, which was something not normal. I took the vehicle to bengal hyundai, chinsurah for the necessary check up, on 30/10/19. I was later told over phone and email that, the car needed to be moved to tiljala service centre for better diagnosis. I had made many calls and tried to get in touch with the concerned service representatives, to know the details of the problems that may have been identified during the diagnosis from 30/10/19 to 5/11/19. However, i was never given any specific and satisfactory answer from any service representative, either from bengal hyundai, chinsurah or tijala service centre as on date, as on time regarding the developments. The said car had travelled a distance of 240 odd kilometers, prior to be taken to tiljala workshop. Though the registration has been done, i have not yet received the blue book, nor the permanent registration no plate. The registration has been done at rto. In the circumstances, i have enough reasons to believe that the car sold to me, has some major manufacturing defect and any replacement of some parts would not suffice as a substitute of a brand new car. I appeal before your kind selves, that justice be done to my hard earned money. I request you to arrange me to provide another car of same model in lieu of the defective one, which is lying at your tiljala work shop, else my money along with my old car be returned to me, may it be mentioned that in case of return, adjustments for interest rate be done, for the period. Under no circumstances, i shall accept a repaired car for the terms and conditions agreed upon prior to the purchase of the car. I hope and truly beleive that the matter be settled in an amicable manner and customers satisfaction shall be withheld as hyundai india's policy. If the matter is not settled, to my justified conditions, within next few days i may have to approach the court of law for the redressal of my stated grievances. A hard copy of the same is being sent to the concerned hyundai officials accordingly Thanking you With warm regards Anshuman chakraborty Was this information helpful?
