[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Discrepancy in atm cash withdrawal from icici atm | |||
This is regarding atm transactions carried out by me (Abhishek chakrabarty) on icici atm at madhapur hyderabad. The atm id is sacwg058. The incident happened on 01 june 2017. The atm sacwg058 is dysfunctional. The touch screen does not work properly and customers have to touch/press multiple times to get a response. On 01/06/2017, i carried out the following atm transactions through my icici debit card: Atm id: sacwg058, transaction id: 5987, time: 15:11 pm, amount withdrawn: rs. 10, 000. Status: successful. Received cash. Atm id: sacwg058, transaction id: 5991, time: 15:14 pm, amount withdrawn: rs. 10, 000. Status: machine got hung for long. Finally transaction got cancelled. No cash received. After the transaction got cancelled, i again tried to withdraw rs. 10, 000 from same machine (Sacwg058). Transaction cancelled again. No cash received. Following which, i went to axis bank atm, madhapur. There, i withdrew rs. 10, 000 in the following transaction: Transaction id: 5499, time: 15:21 pm, amount withdrawn: rs. 10, 000. Status: successful. Received cash. I returned to the icici atm again. I did the following transaction, on the earlier icici bank atm sacwg058: Atm id: sacwg058, transaction id: 5993, time: 15:26 pm, amount withdrawn: rs. 5, 000. Status: successful. Received cash. However, i received a message for the cancelled transaction (Id: 5991), on my mobile which stated that the amount has been withdrawn and deducted from my account. No cash had come out of the machine for this transaction, but the amount has been deducted. I did not notice it initially. After finding my balance to be inconsistent, i checked and saw the sms. And also the bank statement. Normally, in such cases, the amount is credited back automatically. But this time even after waiting for 72 hours, i did not get any refund. I have logged multiple requests with icici bank (Through the icici bank customer care) regarding this, but they are reverting back saying the transaction was successful and cannot be reversed. I stood there in front of the machine for a long time, but it did not give out any cash at all. The srs logged by the customer care on hearing the details are as follows: Sr[protected], sr[protected], sr[protected], sr[protected]. The atm machine sacwg058 did not give any receipt for any of the transactions. I have obtained the above transaction ids from the icici customer care executives. If the machine did not give any cash for this transaction, it indicates that the amount is within the icici system. Then why are they reluctant to investigate and check where the amount went? Please help me investigate who took this amount. I want complete, all possible details about this transaction and where did the money go, and what investigation has icici bank done before closing my service requests.
