ICICI Bank — investments in mutual funds and policies | |||
Hi, I have an sb account with icici bank, kalyan nagar, bangalore. I also had fixed deposits (F. Ds) of rs.17 lakhs to 20 lakhs. In july 2017, my relationship manager approached, suggesting to invest in following breaking my f. Ds:- 1. Icici prudential life insurance ulip policy of rs.20 lacs sum assured, with 2 lacs insurance payment every year I invested totally rs. 4 lakhs, over 2 years - 2017 and 2018 Now, the fund value is only rs. 331, 644, with a loss of rs. 68, 357. 2. Aditya birla resurgent india fund - series 5- this is a high risk investment with more than 80% in equity funds, against my risk profile. At present, it shows net asset value of rs. 441, 000 for an investment of rs. 5 lakhs, with a loss of rs. 59, 000! The total loss is about rs. 128, 000. The relationship manager, co-erced me to invest, saying it will give very good return, over fixed deposits. Now, they are saying, it is because of markets! My complaints : I was forced to invest without knowing, aditya birla resurgent india fund is an equity fund! This was never informed to me. Additionally, icici prudential policy, the investments done were in such a way, it resulted in losses. Mainly it was to get commissions to managers and relationship managers! I get paid only on 7-11 of every month, how can I make an emi on 10 and who is going to pay the penalty and rectify the credit score incase the check gets bounced..
Spoke to ICICI mulund branch and they are saying that for home loan 1, 5and 10 are the only dates .
