[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Levying of late fee and its reversal | |||
I am holding a credit card with the bank since 2013 without any late payments. This time i did not receive any alerts from the bank on my mobile regarding the payment due. Hence i did not realize that i was overdue for payment. Then the CSR called and informed me i was already overdue for payment, hearing which i made the payment immediately and requested them to not levy late fee charges as the fault was not mine. What they have done is reverted the charges partially saying that, that is all they can revert. When i again told them it is not correct since they are the ones levying it, they say fault is mine as i could have checked online for the statement. How should i know that they will not send me message this time, since they have been doing it in the past. Its a very bad consumer experience and secondly they are unnecessary levying charges. Even if its not my fault they are making me pay for it. N yesterday i got a message saying if i do not pay up it will impact my cibil report. (Eventhough i had paid up). Is this the way to harass customers and that too someone who is late maybe for one cycle (that too no fault of customer). Instead of a valued customer it feels the customer is a slave.
