[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Money went twice while making transfer.

Sir, in the month of May i did one transaction for Money transfer through ICICI Bank website. Since it was emergency kind of situation i needed to send the money to one of educational institution regarding my education fees and exam related fees. Upon that dead lines of submitting the same was on my head. I begin with feeling the instruction form for fund transfer with details like Beneficiary Name, Account Number, IFCI Code, Amount etc and proceed towards confirmation. On last page entering the grid value webpage displayed me an error saying can not display the webpage after 3-4 minutes. Try again refreshing or reloading the page. I did refresh the page. It asked me again to enter the grid value. I entered the value and withing 15-20 seconds i received the message of successful and also the receipt of the same as well. Suddenly while i was looking towards the account statement i found it shows me the same transaction twice. I immediately tried to call ICICI Customer care to rectify the issue. But no one responded. Though i live in foreign i made a call at my own cost but call hanged up by passing here and there. I wrote an email at the same time. But it was too late as no one responded in time. I communicated with the bank for more than 1 month in this regards but they have no solution. In each email they just postponed the answer giving me new date to revert. At the same time as my account is NRI and the other persons account is normal local account there was no way that i can get my money back in my account. In between i communicate with one of my known person and to beneficiary to give him the money which was credited to his account because of an error. I was in receipt of getting that money. But ICICI instructed my beneficiary's bank (Federal Bank) to mark lien to his account. Now he was not able to withdraw any money from the bank. I ended up with great problem as my dead line for submitting the fees were getting over in couple of days. So i again took a loan from here and sent the money directly to his another account. Letter on i complaint regarding this to Hon. RBI. They might have asked bank for the clarification and ICICI informed them saying the transactions was done twice. Where i gave them all the evidence receipts, screen shots of confirmation messages etc but they closed my complain saying it does not fall under their section and advised me i can open any other forums door. I asked bank for the compensation against this problem occurred to me along with the expenses and mental trace i gone through. Not even that i lost the interest against my money and the loan i took. Telephone calls etc. I lives in abroad. It is difficult for me to fight against this. Please advise me what i can do further in this regards. Your efforts in this regards will be highly appreciated to help me.

I already had taken this matter up to senior management but no use. They just want to close the case saying "Fund transfer was done twice" hence Bank is not responsible. So no point on again and again write to ICICI Care.
