My Account has been freeze without my knowledge. when I wrote the mail to customer care. they mail be back about the reason KYC PENDING OTP ACCT. I am out of india for 1 year and not able to visit the branch. I mailed them about this situation and didn't received any response from them. I opened the account in Jan or Feb this year. I don't understand how the KYC is pending ? I already submitted my PAN, Adhaar and other documents. please do the needful help. mail me on [protected]@gmail.com Was this information helpful? Regards, ICICI Bank Customer Service Team Oct 07, 2021 Updated by Vikas220895 I checked the RBI Guideline Clause (v) of Section 17: and it states that my account can be operated for max 1 year and till now it's only 9 month. I am out of India for 1 year and not able to visit the branch. So I also checked one more clause Amended Section 18 on V-CIP:I went through the point (ii):- which states my current condition. I opened the account in Jan or Feb this year. so we can still do the V-CIP. No where it's written that it should be done within 72 hrs of account opening. If it's written somewhere please let me know (maybe I missed it). But I think with clause (v) of section 17, I can still operate my account. Let me know your thoughts.
