[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — NRO-NRE transaction

I enquired about all the details from ICICI customer care about how to transfer funds form NRO to NRE. I sent all requested documents to ICICI branch along with checklist printed from ICICI website for this procedure.On 21st Oct 2013 I sent the documents to Pune(Kondhwa) Branch though my sister. I don't remeber the name of that lady but I spoke with her over the phone she declined to take the documents saying there is no such procudure. I was shocked because it is there on their website and straight away she is not ready to accept the documents.Then I arranged it to send to my home town Bank. Bank manager got all the documents on 23rd November. Keeping a buffer I had requested to transfer the funds on 10th December. After 10th December bank manager sent the documents to Sangli and then Hyderabad. In between I followed up every alternate day and they will tell me they will do it in 10-15 minutes. Around on 20th December they told me to fill 15 CA and 15 CB forms as both have 1 month validity only. We filled it again and within 3 days we sent the forms. After that it took 3-4 days to tell me that they need one more notarised document. So we sent that document immediately on 2nd day itself. Then again we needed to 3rd time 15 CA and 15 CB form as the old forms were void because of this new notarised document. After providing all required documents again they told me after 2 days some query came up which was invalid in my couple of CAs' point of view. Then my CA told me the 15 CA and 15 CB forms we were filling were old one. Since October 2013 they changed slight format. So we asked trade desk manager, but again he was not sure about it. Again it took 2 days to confirm about the forms. After filling New 15 CA and 15 CB 4th time. This time we just sent signed scanned copies. After a week they finally transferred money. This time my frustration level was way beyond explaination. They will not tell you what is the query, if your forms are correct or wrong., they will hardly reply to your calls, emails. Pathetic service in terms of this NRO to NRE funds transfer. They don't have 1% of knowledge. In between I did send 3-4 emails to ICICI customer care, ICICI customer grievance. They just replied we will get back to you very soon which they never did. Frustrating. I asked trade desk manager if they need original form with signature they said we don't need it it is ok. Now after a week they called me and requested to send 15 CB form from my CA in India. So my CA mailed them the original form which they needed for record. Today they called me and told me to send original 15 CA form with my signature on it, immediately. They should tell me all things together not one by one. Since day one of this procedure they are doing same thing. One thing at a time. I called ICICI customer service so they told me that you can send document to ICICI USA bank as they will provide free courier service but it will take atleast 15 days to deliever it in Hyderabad. But Hyderabad bank branch needs it immediately within 3-4 days. None of them will co-operate. I lost FD/ Savings interest in these 2 months plus mental frustration within family, lost hope in ICICI customer service, now I will loose $100 to send the express courier to them. So please think before doing this transfer. All detailed and real transactions happened but still I faced so many problems.
