ICICI Bank — upi transaction failure and pathetic response from the support

This complaint is actually the outcome of my frustation with icici customer support,
I was a customer with account number :[[protected]].
I have done a upi transaction on 14 october for an amount of rs. 10018, online transfer to my other bank account (Oriental bank of commerce). While the amount was debited from my account, it was not credited to the beneficiary account and i received a message saying that the amount has been debited from icici account. So in view of that i thiuht that the amount must have been credited into the other account and thus i put up a request to close my existing savings bank acciunt with icici.
The following day i recieved a mail stating that my acciunt closure process has been initiated but to my surprise the amount which i have transferred has still not credited into the benficiary account. I immediately contacted the support and asked them toh stop the account closure process and please look into the matter of my failed transaction and money refund. But they did not give any heed to it and ultimately on 15 october 2019 my acciunt was disposed off. Now my money is stuck it is neither getting credited or rolled back. Whenever i call customer support they tell me to contact the nearest branch and whenever i visit the branch they tell me to contact the customer care.

This is not acceptable. Kindly look into it urgently else i will have to take the complaint to banking ombudsman route.

My account was a salary account created by my previous company, oracle. Even though i have left the organisation, i was still maintaining this account just because of the previous good experiences. Needless to say, now my account was converted into savings account with min balance of 10k inr.

But if this is the pathetic response from support, then what is the difference between icici and other tier 2 bank accounts.

You are promoting upi. However, i feel i have been penalised for utilising upi.

I am forced to log a complaint with the banking ombudsman.

It's been so many days and my complaint has not been heard. There has been no official who has called up and tried to resolve the issue.
