IFB — IFB washing machine model ELENA DX 5.5KG not working

My washing machine of the above model is not working from 01/06/2015 onwards. My AMC is valid from 25/05/2015 to 24/05/2016. I have informed this to the service centre at Potta Thrissur in Kerala and the technician came on 2/6/2015 and said that the timer is complaint and he refused to replace the same and told that he will replace only after three months/ otherwise i have to pay 2500 Rupees for the replacement. Is this is favourable for such a prestigeous company? shall i wait for three months? Then what is the benefit in taking AMC? If this is company's attitude people will defenitely go for the other options.Also i may say that even though Machine is good, service is not good/ or Is this the fault of service centre, , take action against the service centre at Potta Thrissur and pls rectify my complaint at the earliest SEBASTIAN AG [protected] CHALAKUDY
