I purchased IFB 9 kg 5 Star 2X Power Steam, Hard Water Wash Fully Automatic Front Load Washing Machine with In-built Heater Silver (Executive SXS 9014) from Flipkart on[protected] with order ID OD[protected]. It was delivered to me on[protected].
The installation agent came for installation on[protected]. Before the installation, he is insisting me to purchase accessories worth about Rs 10, 000/-. He also warned me that if I don't purchase and use those items from IFB, my warranty is void as it is the instructions from IFB itself. Even when I called IFB customer care they are saying I need to mandatorily purchase a few of the accessories and "ONLY" from IFB. I don't understand what IFB is doing. Till now I have been thinking IFB is a standard company but it is playing double standards.
The information about the "purchase of accessories from IFB" is nowhere mentioned on the product page of IFB. With this, I lost my trust in IFB. I am no more interested in using IFB products and I should start a campaign against IFB and make people aware of the "fraudulent & unethical" practices of IFB. Even the warranty card says "use o[censored]nauthorized optional accessories". What are the authorized accessories? As per the installation agent, "anything not made by IFB" is an unauthorized accessory. If I purchase filters or stabilizers from other well-established brands why warranty will be void? Is this the correct way to do business? why is IFB trying to become a monopoly? Is this a way to get more profits?
