[Resolved] IFB Industries — Ifb inverter split ac - evoporation coil complaint | |||
It is stated that on[protected] we purchased an Inverter Split Air Conditioner from M/s Kapoor Electronics, Moradabad by Bill number GST: 1819-12 dt[protected] and installed by the authorized Service Engineer in our premises on 9-4-2018. The unit is AC 1.5T- IACC181A3T4C.Everything was going alright in this season, and we used the air conditioner about six months in that year with proper services provided by the IFB authorized service center. (Pl Refer enclosure 1) It is also stated that in next year from the last week of March 2019 again the summer started, and we tried to use the AC but found the effectiveness of the cooling was not as effective as that was in the previous year. The power consumption also found higher comparing the previous year. However, we called the authorized service engineer and cleaned the AC unit and found somewhat alright in performance. Again, we used the Air Conditioner approximately for six months. It is also stated that as usual in the third week of March 2020 we started to use the AC, but it is found that the cooling of the AC is not effective as it was in the previous year. But immediately the lockdown was started, and we could not get a Service Engineer from IFB as the Government declared lockdown was stated. And hence we managed our life without the service of the AC It is also stated that next in the year of 2021 April we decided to start the AC, but we found that the cooling effect is very less. Immediately we called a service engineer who installed the AC and told that the Gas pressure is not up to the mark. He said that he can make the unit perfectly alright after filling the Gas. Then we asked him how the Gas was leaked during this time, and he was not having any proper reply and he tightened all the nut bolts of cooling pipe fitted outside. And he filled the Gas with charging Rs. 2, 990=00 (Pl Refer enclosure 2) It is also stated that within one month or so the cooling effect of the AC unit reduced nothing like gradually, meantime the power consumption started to increase nothing like. The matter was reported to the Customer Care and on July 2 Service Engineer visited and refilled the Gas and the unit was working for approximately for 20 to 25 days. He charged Rs. 2800.00. However, the cooling effect was gradually reducing, and the power consumption was increasing nothing like. (Pl Refer enclosure 3) It is also stated that after that when we reported this matter, a service engineer visited the site, and he found that the cooling gas is empty. A complete check-up of all indoor and outdoor unit done by him, and he reported that the evaporation coil is having leak. The service centre will charge Rs. 10, 500 for this Service. However, I informed the service Centre I had already got filled the gas two times spending Rs. 5, 790=00. I bargained again and again through the dealer and then ultimately, they provided a quotation for the service for Rs. 7870-00. (Pl Refer enclosure 4) Then they replaced the evaporation unit and now the unit is functioning alright for the last 3-4 days. (Pl Refer the photograph of the evaporation unit as annexure 5) From the above incident I had to arrive the following conclusions: • The Chinese made evaporation unit fitted with AC was a faulty one or a defective one from the beginning itself. Supporting this conclusion, the evaporation unit is kept inside the AC unit which is kept in bedroom where there are no outside disturbances. (Please refer the photograph kept as annexure 6 (a&b) • Even at the time of services also nobody touches the evaporation unit. The photographs of old evaporation unit are enclosed herewith • Usually, an Air Conditioner unit run for 10 to 15 years trouble free but what happened with this IFB Air Conditioner unit? The Chinese made evaporation unit was fitted without proper quality check In the following situation kindly, I request you to compensate the following expenses incurred by me against your faulty product Serial No. Expensed incurred Compensation requested (In INR) 1 Filling the Gas in the month of April 21, by bill number 943 dated 5-4-2021 3, 000.00 2 Filling the Gas in the month of July 21, by bill number ---- dt ------ 2, 800.00 3 Cost for replacing the Evaporation Unit by bill number 103 dated 29-08-21 7, 870.00 4 Due to Gas Leakage in the unit, the electricity consumption used to remain high many a time and I had to make high electricity bill payment during the usage of AC unit. 10, 000.00 Total (Rs. Twenty-three thousand six-hundred and seventy only) 23, 670.00 I request the representative of the company to resolve the issue with in 10 days compensating the losses as stated as above to avoid approaching a consumer court by the undersigned Thanking you, Yours Sincerely, (K.
