Please note that I had purchased a IFB Washing Machine Senorita AWXS 6.5Kg F/L/T in June 2019 from IFB Point Chennai, India.
It is just about 2 years and the machine is giving huge noise while running.
There is also the issue of hot water vapors coming through the detergent pouring box and unable to use any spin or normal mixed solid mode during washing.
The complaint was raised on 23rd October 2021 and the ticket no. is [protected].
The mobile registered no. is [protected] under name of Joseph Jerard M.
Service technician states that the arm shaft, drum and rubber has to be changed with the below minimum estimated costs of Rs.6, 160/-:-
1. Motor warranty for 10 year registration for the drum to be changed - Rs.1, 000/-
2. Rubber sleeve - Rs.2, 800/-
3. Drum Cleaning 3 powder for the new drum - Rs.510
4. Aqua Filter to be installed - Rs.1, 850/
5. Drum shaft shall be replaced at free of cost.
The total cost of the machine purchased was about Rs.34, 300/- and we have been doing regular quarterly servicing with scaling of the drum by your team which you can check the service records.
The usage of the machine is also not high and used for purely domestic purpose with small regular loads of a small family and with regular servicing and scaling done by your IFB service team.
Within 2 years, how can the main component of drum and shaft be worn off in spite of your regular servicing as advised by IFB and 1/3rd of machine cost is demanded under spare parts while the product is under warranty? This is a clear way of generating spares sales.
And once if main component of drum has an issue to be replaced within 2 years, then we cannot take a risk of the machine further and hence need an immediate replacement with a new washing machine.
This is very evident that this machine is totally a manufacturing defect of IFB Washing Machine Senorita AWXS.
I had used LG Washing machine and for 10 continuous years, we never had any single complaint. In IFB if drum is having an issue in 2 years, then it is purely a manufacturing defect.
I tried to reach Ms.Keerthana IFB Manager at her mobile [protected] but no response to phone ringing.
Please escalate this to the concerned and call me back at my mobile no. [protected] failing which I may have to take severe further action.
