[Resolved] IFB Industries — Non responsive service and highly inefficient, unskilled service staff | |||||
Hello, I am Ajmal from Mumbai I own an IFB model 25SC3 Microwave Oven. For the last few months, whenever it was switched ON, the power trips. Also electric shock was observed on the body. The problem heightens generally after a convection cooking session (which also never worked well). After keeping the instrument off for a few days, it will again working for simple tasks. Complained many times, the technicians will appear only after frequent persuasion. The people who came to look was never seemed to be skilled and always gave some weird explanation. Since the last month the oven completely shutdown, that as soon as I would switch on, the power would trip. Complained through IFB service on-line and received a complaint ticket 16806386. After frequent follow-up, a technician from Global Enterprises (tel no.[protected] turned up. After inspecting, he said the PCB of front panel is shorted ad has to be replaced. I'd asked him how much it would cost. He told me that it would be intimated from the office. No one called me from Global enterprises till I contacted them and enquired. The technician called up again and told that PCB was changed and it would cost Rs. 3400/-. I was shocked and very much distresses that such an amount was intimated to me on advance. Anyway I decided to receive the instrument, hoping that the problem would have been sorted out and paid him (Rs. 3750 including Rs. 350 service charge). But to my horror, the problem was not solved and now after repeated request, the technician not visiting my home. The amount had to be paid, I'm sure, due to the insufficient skill fro the person visited, and I also very much doubt whether they actually have changed the PCB or not.
