I have bought a new IFB fully automatic top load 7.5 of capacity washing machine. It's been more then 3 weeks, washing machine is delivered and installed at my place but I couldn't use it so far. It is very disheartening to face the kind of service a brand like IFB is offering. I have paid a premium to buy IFB product expecting that I will get the services accordingly, but now I believe it was absolutely wrong expectation. So here goes my story,
A service engineer came to my place to install and demonstrate machine's function. Here are some interesting pointers: For most of the options, written in display panel of machine, he was not aware, and kept saying that you should not use or you will never need these options. We ignored it. Then came the real interesting thing. Looking at the option for wash blankets, he said, this should be used to wash black clothes (blanket -> black). I ignored, considering I can always read the manual and its OK, this is just a washing machine.
Then, I started the machine, and bang it just didn't work. After every few minutes of running, it shows an error of IMBL in display panel. By reading manual, I assumed that the machine is imbalanced. I tried to rectify it myself but couldn't do it. Then the real disappointment started. I have called the support center and logged the complain on 10th Nov and I was assured that within 72 hours some senior service engineer will visit and rectify the problem. I waited for some days, and called again on 17th Nov. The support executive was also surprised that my complaint is already escalated, yet no one has updated on the complaint. He assured me that some service engineer will visit within 24 hours. Now wither that senior engineer is too senior and taking his own time coming all the way from IFB research center or my maths is very poor and 72 and 24 hours are yet not completed.
I am highly disappointed as i have bought the machine as a Diwali gift for my family and still we are not able to use it. Request you to take your machine back and refund my money. I actually don't want to use any IFB product any more. I now realize that in the same amount of money I could have bought a washing machine of another company and another gift for my family, if i have to receive such customer service.
