Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — Regarding Refund of Cancelled Counter Ticket | |
Refund of my canceled counter ticket. I booked a ticket at GWL (Gwalior) station counter for a journey between ETW(Etawah) to DNR(Danapur) {attached image of the ticket can be referred for full details} My booked ticket was in waiting and I didn't get any confirmed seat even after chart preparation. Hence, I canceled the ticket through the IRCTC website (proof attached). Then, I went to GWL railway station PRS counter for collecting the refund (around 4 hrs. Before the scheduled departure of the train), but I was denied the same. They said a refund can't be issued from their side. When I insisted (stating the rules available in this link https://www.operations.irctc.co.in/ctcan/SystemTktCanLogin.jsf), they asked me to get out and said, "जो कर सकते हो कर लो, हम नही देंगे रिफंड". I went to lodge a complaint against this at the complaints counter in GWL railway station, but I was even denied to lodge the complaint.
