I am a working and currently single housemaker woman. I have applied for the PNG gas connection in the IGL in last december, 2023. Since then, + till now, dt 29.03.2024, the gas connection has not fully completed.
The company workers did not least cooperated with the installation procedure such as early or later in working days or on Sundays. They call at mid of working days for the installation and when I ask for mine feasible timeline, they do not come for the same. However, I managed according to them for the Meter installation. And after that, they told me another IGL employee would come for final gas connection from gas-meter to the gas stove. He came with shorter gas rubber pipe and asked me to arrange for the lengthier gas rubber pipe at that hour to get my gas stove working. At that hour being all alone, how would I arrange it and most importantly, local gas rubber pipe may pose life threatening situation in future.
After that I called to IGL customer care several times to sort the problem, but they ask me (Customer) to arrange the gas rubber pipe of sufficient length, as per the company policy. Being a meager customer in front of giant company, I had to purchase the gas rubber pipe and got ready to install it at my life-threatening risk and asked IGL Customer Care to complete the final installation and since then, TWICE they had closed my ticket without resolving the issue.
