Indraprastha Gas Limited [IGL] — negligence in gas pipeline connection | |||
I want to report the negligent behavior and indifferent and callous behavior of the control room supervisor. I got my pipeline connection initiated on 5th sep by a representative called vikash in b-23/1401, tulip violet, sector 69, sohna road, gurugram, haryana 122101. My mother in law got the connection done and she also mentioned to him that there is quite a delay in the gas coming, to which he said this is the norm in pipeline gas and hence delay was expected. Every time we tried putting the flame on, there was a lot of delay in the gas getting on. Today morning (18th sep 2019) around 9.15 am - my cook was standing in the kitchen and i was sitting on the table next to her and we both saw glass coming up in the air and hit her body and she somehow managed to save her eye from the glass. The toughened glass of the burner broke completely and exploded to hit her eye. We were so shocked and scared. I immediately raised a complaint with both prestige (Gas burner) and igl pipeline. A person called anand visited us from igl pipeline and on inspection, he confirmed that there was a flaw in the way the pipeline connection was done by vikash. He said there was leakage happening from the burner, which led to gas being formed and heating up - thereby heating the glass and exploding it. His colleague named prabhakar also confirmed the same. However when i called the control room, the supervisor started denying this and said the burner glass couldn't have broken and exploded due to the pipeline gas leakage issue. I also called their office multiple times but they didn't revert back properly and made excuses on how this wasn't their or their executives' fault. My cook and i could have had a very major accident today which we narrowly escaped. I demand that they reimburse all the damages and also pay for the mental trauma caused. They should take full precautions while installation to ensure no one else has to face similar situation again and no accidents causing harm to people or goods take place.in my society (Tulip violet, sohna road, gurugram) - many such issues have been reported because of the negligence of the pipeline connection executive and company. However, the company is very callous and ask the users to get the glass exchanged from the burner company and keep ignoring any such requests. What's worse their higher management/ authorities deny negligence on behalf of their staff and refuse to accept their mistake. This is absolutely unacceptable. Was this information helpful? | |||
