We people were working together in an organization and we are from different places of country and we have individual user accounts of IRCTC portal. When no tickets were available under general quota, we were forced to book TATKAL tickets using IRTC online portal. But the portal only allows two TATKAL booking from single Internet provider IP between 10AM and 12PM and when we try to book after blocking hours, even the TATKAL also falls in long waiting list. If two tickets were booked, the system is blocking the Internet provider IP of the company to block other users from further booking. People in an organization may need to book TATKAL ticket to different destination.
This is a worst situation we are facing from IRCTC portal, since we work under heavy time schedule and may not get chance to book from railway ticket counter. If two person book TATKAL for different destinations from their own accounts, and when a third person tries to book ticket from his/her user account the system block him between 10AM and 12PM. We know that this is TUGHLAQ decision to prevent agents from bulk booking. But then how a normal user books a ticket for his/her journey.
Electronic portals will be used for the easy ticket booking and not should not block users. IRCTC portal is not designed to allow easy ticket booking, this portal is nightmare when users comes to book TATKAL ticket. Was this information helpful? |
