[Resolved]  Irctc — To refund the amount for e-ticket tatkal booking- booked twice for one individual

To General Manager/Operations, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation, 9th Floor, Bank of Baroda Building, 16 Parliament Street, New Delhi - 110 001. I would like to draw your attention that while booking tatkal e-ticket through irctc, due to processing problems two tickets have been booked on same personal details. The 1st ticket booked went for the transaction failure and so I went for booking the other. Once the second ticket was successfully booked, the transaction of first ticket automatically got restored without any confirmation and then that too got booked on the same personal details. There was a time lapse between booking of the ticket and its transaction taking place from my bank account which could be provided if required. The two transactions were made through SBI Account. This points a finger towards shortcoming of the irctc software which has generated two e-tickets against the same particulars of one individual. Indian Railway needs to make note of this. Most of the time people keep struggling to get a ticket and then your software issues more than one ticket for a same individual, what an irony.
