Subject : Regarding Claim # 99565
I am writing to you after multiple failed attempts to convince Ericson TPA about the issue I am facing with regards to my Claim that has been put across.
I have this policy from JIO which is 6 saal khushal parivar. I had got this policy in the year Oct 2019 and the expiry of the policy was in Oct 2020. My father was diagnosed with certain illnesses for which he had to be admitted in the hospital on 30th Oct 2020. Since my policy was expiring on the same day, I had called up the helpline and had a word with them about the renewal as the illness that he was going through was under the exclusion list for a year. So while on a call with the helpline on 26th Oct 20 ( Call recording attached), I had clearly asked them about this that if I have my father admitted on the stated date and have the policy renewed will the illness in the exclusion list still be covered immediately on renewal or how would it be. They said that the same will start immediately on renewal and the illness will be cover and I would be able to claim the same as well. On their guarantee and assurance, I got the policy renewed and my father was admitted on 30th Oct'20 at 8.44 pm.
Now after so much follow-up since last two months I get to know today that the claim has been rejected.
My request is, why reject the claim as this is a border line case and matter of few hours of admission before the expiry of the policy.
If I would have been given clear information in the initial stage itself I would have delayed the admission by a day.
I look forward for your support and not reject the entire claim and take any necessary deviations considering this being a border line case and the above facts.
