Jeeves Consumer Services — Not Repairing TV with extended warranty.

Hi Team,

I had purchased MI TV from Flipkart on 10th March, 2019. My order number is OD[protected]. I also purchase Extended Warranty 2 Year by Flipkart Protect.

My TV covers under extended warranty and I raised a complaint for screen issue of my TV. There is a 2 inch vertical patch showing on the screen. This issue covers under extended warranty.

The MI service boy who came to my house to inspect the TV said that the part which needs to be repair is available and can be done by them. However extended warranty provider is not willing to help and repair my TV. The extended warranty provider is saying that they can’t repair the TV.

The MI still manufacture this model of TV and it is listed on Flipkart for sell and all the repair part are available.

How can extended warranty provider (Flipkart Protect) say that they can’t repair the unit.

The below message from Flipkart protect Extended warranty.

Why should I bear loss of Rs.6599.70 if you are not able to provide service. I don’t need refund, please get my TV fix or replace the whole unit.

I'm feeling cheated by Flipkart Protect Extended warranty. I purchased extended warranty just in fear that if something happens with my TV in future, it will be covered under extended warranty.

There is no sense to sell extended warranty for smart TV and saying that screen issue on TV doesn't cover under extended warranty. You are leaving the customer in lurch and imposing the refund option after 30% deduction. Please try to understand that 90% of repair cases on TVs are related to screen. There would be lines, patch on screen, screen distortion etc.

Please provide me resolution for this issue.
