I use VPCEA23EN/B since 2010. My laptop had heating issue since sometime, I sent it for repair atleast 3-4 times when my laptop was under warranty but service center guys always return it saying that the everything is okay, heating problem is due to the Mumbai environment. My laptop warranty expired on 26 June and it got crashed almost one month after that. I tried my best to recover it from recovery cd but it did not work because some of the files were missing in the recovery cd as per the message shown. So I used a bootable Linux cd to copy all of my data before from internal HDD to external HDD and then reinstall the OS cd that I borrowed from a friend. Unfortunately, borrowed cd was also not working but by the time I had already wasted 15-20 days arranging for the cd and all. and finally I took my laptop to local service center to get the OS recovered from them, and what a shock they called me 4-5 days after submitted the laptop to them informing that my HDD is damaged, although my HDD was working perfectly fine before submitting the laptop to them, I had run the diagnostics tool to check memory errors as well, also I could copy all the data to/from Internal HDD. Now after submitting my laptop to service center they damaged my HDD . This is totally unacceptable, unethical way of earning more money from customer and the harassment caused to me. I need a full amount recovery because of their this act of ignorance of customer assest. Was this information helpful? |
