Mahanagar Gas — late bill payment charges very high.

As consumer of mahanager gas, i would like to bring it to your notice the late bill payment charge is very high. for a consumer whose bill is 400 to 500 rs. a charge of 100 rs per month as penalty works out to be 240 to 300% pa. this is very high penalty for late bill payment even tough sometimes we receive bill late in the first place.
Further, cheque processing takes so long that we end up penalize for late payment of bill.
for example, i received my gas bill on 30th may, wrote cheque and dropped in drop box on 1st june.
bank pickup happens on 3rd. they send it for processing which takes 5 days i.e 8th june. my bank cleared my cheque on 10 june.
whereas last due date for payment was 7th june.
so company seems to have gamed the whole cheque payment process, so as to swindle us by slapping us with rs.100/- fine.
