Mahanagar Gas — Temporary disconnection of Gas line for renovation

We had raised request for disconnection of gas line temporarily to carry out renovation work at my place. The request was raised on 14th Jun and we were told that it will take 5 days for the same. After numerous follow ups, today we got an update that it will take another 15 days for the same. I do not understand why should it take 15 days and if that is the case then I would want to see the policy which mentions about it. My house is completely demolished and we cannot start the renovation work until the gas connection is removed. Don’t know if my complaint will fall in correct ears. Would urge to expedite and send someone tomorrow itself.
