Mahanagar Gas — unexplained and extremely high billing - mahanagar gas is a total nuisance

I don't know how these guys have been given the task to supply gas services to the city people. I have received extremely high and baseless gas consumption bills for no reason. My consumption is less and yet the company has been sending a bill with very high charges. When i reported this to mahanagar gas, they asked me to get the meter checked and told me that there is a compulsory charge of 600 rupees for checking the meter. Inspite of being faultless, i got the meter checked and the meter technican charged me 700 rupees. He did not give an explanation for the extra charges. After checking the meter, the company assured that they will generate a fresh and revised bill. However, the latest bill is again showing very high charges. Infact even more than the previous bill. Their customer care team is useless. They say that they have a concept of putting a customer's account on rentals when the consumer is not using the gas. If that is the case then after putting a customer's account on rentals, each month the bill should be generated with a fixed amount. But this is not what happens!! Every month the charge is different. Then they send the meter reading guy who checks the meter and goes, and then suddenly they will add very high charges to the customer's bill and tell him that we have charged you as per your meter reading. They have done this to me. Their policies and plans are rubbish. They have designed such policies to confuse people and overcharge innocent and regular bill payers. One of my relatives also went and complained at their office and they quickly waived off the unexplained charges. I don't know what's going on!!!

These guys are a team of frauds who are there to just fleece people. I will take this matter to a higher level. Mahanagar gas has to change their ways of operations as this is creating real frustration and disappointment amongst customers. My bp number (Mahanagar gas connection number) is [protected] and the bill date is 13 jan 2019. Someone please help and get my issue resolved.
