MakeMyTrip.com — Makemytrip not processing refunds - Has held the amount for more than 2 months

Hi, This is regarding processing of refunds by Makemytrip.com. 2 of bookings were cancelled by SpiceJet as they had cancelled the flights. As a result, I initiated refund for both of them. Makemytrip claims that it takes 10 working days + Bank processing time to get the refunds. However, this is the current status: (1) Booking 1: NF[protected]: Over 2 months. Refuntdstill not processed. (2) Booking 2: NF[protected] [Partial cancellation for return trip]: Over 12 days. Customer support mentions that the booking has been cancelled on 3rd Feb and refund is in process while the website still shows that the booking is confirmed and not cancelled. I have attached snapshot of the status. This was the case with the previous booking[NF[protected]] as well. I called customer support and they mentioned that they have cancelled my flight and started refund process but on 19th Jan, they say that you need to do it again online. I have been extremely patient, polite and have received the same response: "Refund is in process". Today (15th Feb), I was told this amusing thing: Sir, your booking was cancelled on 19th Jan. So, Your refund will take 10 working days + bank time and you will get it within that time. (Really? How many days do we have between 19th Jan & 15th Feb? If the response is going to be so mechanical and algorigthmic, why do we need customer support operators?). I was not surprised when the operator said, "Let me check some details" and disconnected my call. Makemytrip is a very reputed and trust worthy name in the field of online bookings. It is appalling to see them irritate their customers and poor status of their customer service/support. I have no clue if Makemytrip is going to refund my money at all! I started doing some research and realized that there are large number of customers who are going through the same issue with Makemytrip. I am seriously considering running an online campaign to identify the list of customers who have been facing the same issue (Makemytrip not refuding the money in due time). Given the large customer base and huge figures associated with airline fares, I assume that it's a substantial amount of revenue that rests with Makemytrip post cancellation and the organization gets to reap the benefits on cost of customers! I got tired of calling customer support so I decided to share this last post before taking any other action, and also identifying other customers who are facing the same issue with Makemytrip.
