Long wait on the calls

There is a long wait time on the calls and eventually when do get to the point of date change in the conversation the line drops. The message or reason which is given after that is technical snag, I have seen this 5-6 times across 2 ticket bookings. I was wondering is the a common pattern if yes then this could be a way of rigging or harassing customers from changes....
