[Resolved] MakeMyTrip India — auto selection for insurance coverage | |||
While booking flights on maymytrip portal, it is seen that the option of getting insurance coverage is already selected by booking portal. It is auto clicked already and customers while booking are not given any option to confirm for insurance coverage. So consumers don't remember to deselect the checkbox of insurance coverage and fee is charged for insurance also. The autoclicked checkbox should be disabled by the company. I have faced the same while my booking done in 10.04.2019 and i have been charged for insurance coverage. I was not willing to opt for insurance but because it was already autoclicked, i was not aware about it. The amount charged for insurance should be refunded. Verified Support Apr 22, 2019 MakeMyTrip India Customer Care's response Dear Was, Regret the inconvenience! In reference to your complained, we do have the pop-up available to uncheck the insurance.
