MakeMyTrip has proven to be a shameless, money-grabbing company that lacks both customer service and human decency. I had a medical emergency and was physically unable to travel. Naturally, I requested a simple date change or at least a partial refund; but what did I get in return? A robotic copy-paste response refusing to help in any way.
Despite explaining my situation, their customer support team showed zero empathy and happily hid behind so-called “policy restrictions.” If you think booking through MMT gives you any safety net in case of emergencies, think again. The reality is, once they have your money, they don’t care about you, your circumstances, or even basic human ethics.
Instead of acting as a responsible platform, they shove all blame onto hotels and take no accountability for helping their own customers. This company is nothing more than a middleman that takes commissions while leaving customers stranded when they need help the most. If they cannot intervene in genuine emergencies, what is the point of their service?
Desirable Resolution:
Full refund for my booking due to medical emergency.
Immediate intervention and change in policies to accommodate genuine emergency cases in the future.
MMT has a duty towards its customers - not just its profits.
