I had cancelled a flight directly with the airline which was booked through mmt. I also paid the cancellation charges with the airline.
The airline company had informed me that they would refund the booking amount to the original mode of payment (Which is my bank account).
Later i was told that i had to inform the booking agent also about the cancellation of the booking. I had called up the customer care and had informed them that i had cancelled the flight direclty with the airline, to which i was told that the refund will be given in the form of a credit voucher.
I told them i had cancelled the booking voluntarily and not because of covid-19. Hence, i claimed that the refund has to be sent to my bank account. The customer care spoke with his team and confirmed that the refund will be given to the bank account.
Few days later i get a mail stating that the credit voucher will be provided.
A credit voucher has to be given for the full amount, whereas i have paid cancellation charges to both the airline and mmt, and i am supposed to get my money back in the mode of payment i have made.
I have freedom to control my funds. How can mmt convert the money i paid from my bank account into a credit shell that i'm not going to use.
The website isn't allowing me to raise a request and neither are the customer care picking the calls.
