Firstly, i was a loyal customer of Makemytrip from past 15 years i still remember making the very first booking on your website sitting alongside my father when i was just 12 years old, we booked Om Towers Hotel in Jaipur in year 2007. And the experience of the hotel booking was really very easy and it was also very first for us, in the era of agents booking a hotel on a computer was really great experience.
But that was not all, i still remember my first trip with my friends in 2013 when i made a reservation of Shivalikview Hotel in Chandigarh, without any doubt i made that reservation on MMT.
My first trip with my family to Goa just before pandemic started in India, in Feb 2020 and also my last trip with my father, we made all the bookings through MMT only be it flights or Le Meridien Hotel.
Thats not all it is just some of the memories in past 15 years, i have made numerous bookings with MMT, without even checking any other website or even considering any other agent or website, because i had so much faith on your services.
But, what i experienced with my last booking was astonishing and unbelievable on 5th June 2022 i decided to plan a Goa trip with my friends, so i just checked MMT and i really got a good deal on Vistara Flight and without even talking to my friends i made the price lock reservation on your website the booking number was NF7UA7A52F3849OK3402 and i was given the date of 9th June 2022 and time given to me was 7:34PM so in between i discussed with my friends and they all said that they are ready to go and we were about to make the payment, when i suddenly received the message on 8th June 2022 saying that my price lock booking is going to end today and within seconds i received another message that my booking is failed and the refund has been initiated.
After that i tried reaching out to you, i just wanted to know what happened and Mr. Vishal, Floor Superviser consulted me and when i asked him why i received this message from your end, he said that the said flight is sold out thats why our system auto generated the refund and we cant do anything. I cross checked and the flight was still available(8th June after receiving cancellation message) and it is still available on this date(10th June), i counter questioned him that the flight is still available how can you say that it is sold out, so he said sorry sir we cant do anything in this you will have to make a new booking for the same flight and will have to pay the new amount(which is 25000 higher than earlier one), i asked him again and again whose fault it is, if you are giving the price lock guarantee and the flight is still available whose liability is it, just by giving me refund of 1900 you are openly asking me to pay 25k extra for new booking. I just wanted him to tell me that MMT is sorry and due to system error from their end all this chaos happened, but no he just kept on saying same thing again and again that we cant do anything and you will have to book a new ticket with the revised prices.
I just want to know if you are giving me an option of price lock how come the system fault from your end is my fault and why would i pay the difference amount.
Just because of your system’s fault i have to drop my Goa plan.
Honesly an sincere apology would have worked but it seems MMT is not same anymore. I guess this was my last booking with MMT. And i was MMT Elite member.
