I had booked my manali trip itinerary entirely with makemytrip including flight, manali hotel, delhi hotel & outstation cab. I thought i will use one platform since till now i always had a pleasant experience with makemytrip. I have been using your platform for numerous of my travels till date and i am satisfied with your services till date except this time.
I had a horrible experience with the cab booking (Car booking id nc[protected]) which i did with you from 24th dec till 29th dec. I was ferried in 3 different cars from delhi to manali and back with 3 different drivers. I was cheated, inconvenienced and went through a harrowing experience the entire journey time with your provided cab and driver. The first driver (Ram) who picked me up from delhi and dropped me in chandigarh en-route to manali ran away at chandigarh citing fog as athe reason to further continue the journey. I was forced to take a hotel in chandigarh on 24th dec in the evening which i later came to know that was totally a false and baseless reason as their own 2nd driver (Satnam singh) told me that i was misguided in this case. Additionally, ram had told me that he will pick us up early in the morning at 5 am on 25th dec from the dropped hotel, but till 7 am none turned up and i had to call makemytrip to understand what is going on.
This resulted i not only lost my one full day of tour, but also was forced to spend unplanned expense for chandigarh hotel accommodation. The second driver satnam singh was illiterate with non-permit taxi and looted us in every food stop by colluding with the vendors and ensured collecting a large amount of illegitimate money indirectly. He also continuously threatened us to abandon us en-route. The vendor charging extra money from us was was confirmed when i confronted the restaurant for charging us special rates as compared to other customers and the restaurant clearly told that satnam singh has demanded them to collect money from us and pay the same to him.
He also created unnecessary ruckus in manali which was reported to makemytrip earlier by refusing to take us to places which we wanted to go by telling that he will only take us where he wants to go. He also abused me and my family with filthy language and words and somehow, i had to live with him for the rest of my stay in manali since i never had any other option. He was also found to be drunk in the evening on most of the days with us.
While travelling with satnam singh i also came to know that he does not have a valid driving licence and taxi permit for the car he was driving. The car was also very dirty, and he kept on demanding extra money throughout the whole journey for various reasons. Even for toll tax and state tax he never gave us any receipts and took rs. 1300 towards that. My whole vacation trip was ruined because of his rude and un-professional behaviour. I had my cab booking till 29th, but i was again forced to reach delhi at 3 am on 29th because satnam singh forced us to leave manali on 28th dec in the morning itself. I somehow pushed on with him and finally he dropped me in chandigarh on 28th dec at 9 pm on my way back to delhi and boarded me on a white board (Private) car to delhi from there onwards. This car was driven by a different driver (Rocky). Somehow, i reached delhi with all this horrible experience and to be finally relieved of getting rid of what i went through.
I place makemytrip responsible for ruining and mentally torturing me throughout the whole trip by providing me with unprofessional cabs and drivers all throughout. This was not only unprofessional on your part, but also could have been dangerous for me and my family. I will reconsider to travel with makemytrip in future due to this harrowing experience i went through you. Was this information helpful? |
