Dear MakeMyTrip Management,
I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the handling of my travel insurance purchased through your platform.
I had opted and paid for travel insurance with my ticket via MakeMyTrip, with the understanding that it would provide coverage in case o[censored]nforeseen events. Unfortunately, when I recently submitted a claim under this insurance, I was not provided the entitled claim benefits. Instead, I was refunded the insurance premium — which is entirely unacceptable and defeats the very purpose of having insurance.
This response not only undermines the trust I had in MakeMyTrip as a platform offering reliable services, but also highlights a serious gap in coordination with the insurance provider, or a flaw in your internal processes.
To make matters worse, I contacted your customer service team 6, 7 times and specifically requested to speak with a manager. Despite being told I would be connected, no manager spoke with me, nor did anyone call me back. I waited on the line for over 30 minutes each time, with no resolution or follow-up. This kind o[censored]nresponsive service is extremely disappointing and only adds to my frustration.
I request immediate clarification on the following:
Why was my valid insurance claim not processed?
Why was I refunded the insurance premium instead of receiving the appropriate compensation?
What steps are being taken to rectify this issue and ensure the rightful settlement of my claim?
Please treat this matter as urgent. I expect a detailed response and resolution at the earliest. If not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to escalate the matter further, including filing a formal complaint with the appropriate consumer protection authorities.
I trust that MakeMyTrip will take accountability and resolve this issue professionally.
