I booked the flight tickets for my friend to seychelles from mumbai from makemytrip (Booking id nn[protected]. The names were entered correctely from my side and ticket shared by makemytrip also showed the correct names but when i visited the srilankan airline website to select the seats, i noticed that the name of my friend's wife was incorrect. It was showing (Ms ms pratima) whereas it should have been (Ms pratima) and even the pratima was mentioned in the last name. For reference, note that there is no last name in the passport. I called the mmt customer care regarding this issue and after 15 days of waiting they told me i have to pay in 3850 otherwise nothing can be done. As it was my friend booking i paid them inr 3850 to get the name corrected and after few days they shared the revised ticket and again i called the srilankan airline to verify and i was really disappointed that they played a huge trick. Mmt only changed the name in the booking or you can share they added the reference but the name that was in the tickets was same (Ms ms pratima) the sri lankan airline executive told me that they have only updated the name as reference but name are still wrong on ticket and you might not be allowed to board and told me that they would have done that themselves totally free. So now i do not know what to do. I already paid and still, they didn't change the name, they thought that i would not verify it with the airline.
This is really bad on the part of such a big company. I will be moving to consumer court within the next 7 days for sure. I have everything on emails and calls recorded in which they mentioned that the names have been changed on the tickets.
