This is in reference to my complaint against the corporate Make My Trip. Before reading further, for clarity purpose, I wish to state my itinerary is as follows : 7th March from Mumbai to Delhi and return on 10th March from Delhi to Mumbai. Following are my issues :
1. Booking ID NF[protected]
This particular incident has happened on Feb18, 2019. When I was booking my itinerary on Make my trip app, I was instigated (forced) to update my app. The default setting while booking any flight has always been “Mumbai to Delhi”. With this in mind, I updated the app. After updating the app, the default setting was erroneously changed to “Delhi to Mumbai”, yet only after booking the itinerary did I come to know that the booking have been reversed or that the itinerary has been set as just the opposite. I had to travel from Mumbai to Delhi on 7th March and come back from Delhi to Mumbai on 10th of March. But, the opposite itinerary was booked instead. According to Booking ID NF[protected], I was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai on 7th March and from Mumbai to Delhi on 10th March. This erroneous booking has cost me INR 7, 282.00 . I blame the corporate, for compelling me to force update the app and changing the itinerary erroneously. I demand full refund on subsequent cancellation, as this erroneous booking has not been my mistake but the corporate’s.
2. Booking ID NF[protected]
On the same day Feb18, 2019, after knowing that the previous booking has been erroneous, I made a new booking, which exactly matched my itinerary i.e. Mumbai to Delhi on 7th March and return from Delhi to Mumbai on 10th March. This has cost me INR 8, 012.00 . The same day, I thought of cancelling my first booking so that I can at least save some out of my lost money. Then, I went on the app and in the section of “Upcoming Trips” I could see two bookings. The bookings have been illustrated exactly as they appeared, when I was cancelling my round trip of Booking ID NF[protected] .

Now, I cancelled B Booking ID NF[protected], but immediately after two seconds I got a text from Flight Operators of A Booking ID NF[protected], stating that the said round trip has been cancelled. To my shock, I almost started crying at this moment and lost my cool. Never had I imagined that a corporate of this stature would have such a misleading mobile application.
Later within a few minutes, in distraught I cancelled B Booking ID NF[protected] as well.
3. Untimely/ No response/ False promises from the corporate
This incident was reported to the customer care on 19th Feb, 2019, when I was assured that a technical team will look into the same. Yet, the very next day, the corporate called me up and said that this has been voluntarily done by you and hence no refund will be processed. To this I requested them that they have not even understood the problem . They accepted my reply and promised that they will call back regarding the issue. Yet, there has not been a single call from the corporate since then. It has been more than 15 days now. Each day, I call them and remind them of my issues and the corporate every time assures me that this issue will be resolved and that someone from the technical team will call me and attend my issues. Although, I am yet to receive any such phone call.

Being a government employee and a responsible citizen of the society, such behavior with me by the corporate is uncalled for and unacceptable. This issue needs to be resolved by providing me full refund only.

As checked your booking ID- NF[protected] was cancelled at IP address = 23.212.50.74", "source":"ANDROID" at users end. This IP address doesnt belongs to MakeMyTrip.
You may raise the complained at Cyber cell for security breach.

MMT offered just Rs 6000 for the cancelled flight although full refund was promised as the flight was cancelled through airlines.
Please initiate a full refund for the cancelled flights.
