MakeMyTrip India — no refund for hotel booking in case of flood in coorg

I had done a booking nh[protected] for a hotel in coorg. On 12th morning i called the hotel staff and asked about the ground situation. They suggested roads are closed and red alert is there so please avoid coming by bike.
I cancelled the booking and there was the amount for refund was shown as zero.
I talked to an agent, and she said you yourself cancelled the booking so there is no refund. I cancelled because the hotel staff suggested so. There is a natural calamity going on there. And makemytrip is trying to make some money out of this. As hotel staff were saying they are refunding all the cancellation because of the flood.
