I 'm advised to raise refund request from the singapore airline as the flights were cancelled by the airlines. I'm forwarding the email in conversation with singapore airlines. Kindly refer to the following and do the needful. Dear team singapore airlines, I'm writing to you to request a refund of my air ticket money as the flights were cancelled by your airlines due to global pandemic. On 13th of july 2020, i'd purchased a flight ticket from makemytrip agency - from bangalore to hong kong via singapore by your airlines for the date 1st september 2020 at 23:05, booking id - nn[protected]Please refer to the attached file 1 for the invoice details). However, due to the covid-19 measure, the flights were cancelled as some of the terminals were closed by your airlines. The information regarding flight cancellation was notified to me on 12th august 2020 (See the attachment-2 below), which was late, just 15days ahead of my travel schedule. It was really hard to reschedule my travel plan and arrange for another flight. As i'm a student pursuing my higher education, rebooking flight tickets and change of travel have incurred loss. When i requested my travel partners makemytrip for refund (As the flights were cancelled by airlines and not by me), initially, my refund request was in process. However, i was asked to call your customer service to fasten the process (See the attachment 3 below). Later, when i tried ringing singapore airlines customer services my calls were unanswered and an auto generated voice message suggested that 'our office is closed now, please call back next working day between 8:45 am and 4:45 pm'. This voice message is heard of any time and irrespective of the mentioned working hours, meaning to say it is set deliberately not to attend customers' calls. When i again requested makemytrip customer services on 1st september 2020 they insisted me to rebook flights for the same travel route from your (Singapore) airlines but a refund option is not possible. This assertion from your airlines, without having a word or knowing the customer's needs is ruinous and is unacceptable. I understand your airlines will keep my ticket open to rebook flights for next one year. But, it would be implausible for me to travel from india to hong kong within this one year period (13 th july 2020 to 12th july 2021). As i have joined phd courses in hong kong, within the 1st year of my study i can't travel back and considering covid-19 situation i shall not prefer to travel this year unless there is an emergency. Thereby, i would appreciate it if you can consider refund of my flight ticket money (Rupees - 23728/-) or extended rebooking option deadline for one and a half year (That is, i can travel using the same ticket until 1 december 2021). Kindly do the needful, I'm looking forward to your reply resolving my complaint/request. Existing ticket also not resolved. Requesting support team to call me to understand the issue at my registered mobile no or email id to resolve the open issues.
Manish, Shubham and Sakshi worked n this issue but not responding to my mails. requesting to take strict action on them for not resolving issues and dropping in middle .
Vishakhapatnam to Delhi- -Refund is being processed -Cancelled on 08 Nov-Round Trip Flight
If you guys are not responding I will approch cosumer court as last option
