We were booked for a hotel reservation from 14th Aug to 16th Aug but due to fever, it was not possible to travel due to current travel restrictions.
To this extent, we cancelled our flight with Indigo which agreed to fully reimburse our ticket but Makemytrip via whom we had done our hotel reservation, has not yet come up with a refund. They said that they will try and get the hotel to refund but I know that they pay the vendor only later and not immediately and where cases are genuine they can check.
I also contacted the hotel directly but have not heard from them too.
I can upload all the necessary documentation including proof of sickness from a hospital, on the basis of which Indigo has agreed to reimburse. Please let me know how do I go about getting my booking amount as this has been the case since Covid because with fever the Airlines itself do not allow you to board. This is a Government stipulation and the IATA industry has made it clear that in case of a sickness entire amount will be refunded.
I had contacted both the airline as well as Makemytrip early in the morning so that they could take the necessary action. The amount is RS10500 approximately.
