[Resolved] MakeMyTrip India — Refused to Refund my Money as they committed on Guaranteed Trip Ticket

Hi Team,

On 30 Nov 2023 I have booked the train ticket from Pune - Jammu by JHELUM EXPRESS by opting the Guaranteed Trip for three passengers. On 01 Dec 2023 for one of the passengers (Sweta) I have to cancel the ticket partially due to her health condition.

As per guaranteed trip norms they have to refund the 3X amount to customer if they are not able to provide the confirmed ticket at the time of Chart Prepared.

As After the chart prepared my ticket was on WL1 and WL2 so I reached the support of MakeMyTrip but they are not giving me proper response. Most of the time They told me that Their managers are busy and they will call me after 3 hours. I haven't got any call from then not the refund of guaranteed trip from Make My Trip.

As per MakeMyTrip norms they have mentioned the below statement in their website.

In case you cancel a wait-listed train ticket before the chart preparation, MMT will process full refund of the ticket fare and you shall not be eligible for the Offer i.e. the 3X refund. Further, MMT shall have the right to deduct MMT Service Fee, IRCTC Convenience Fee, Payment Gateway Charges, discounts and Trip Guarantee premium."""

But They Haven't mentioned that for partial cancellation of ticket they are not going to refund 3x. As I have not cancelled the whole ticket. I have cancelled the partial ticket.

I request you to please took strict action against this organization as they are changing their statement what they are committing on their website. Please take strict action against these kind to fraudulent activity as they are cheating to customer on the name of "guaranteed Trip ".

I have paid 1500 more than the Train ticket price on the name of guaranteed Trip. And As per their policy if they are failed to provide the confirmand ticket till chart prepared, they have to refund the 3x amount of ticket fair.

So I am requesting you get my money back from MakeMyTrip as they have committed .

I call the customer support for my 3x refund but during the call I get response like you are not eligible for 3x refund even though I opted the trip guaranteed option. I told him to talk to your manager then replied like his manager is busy for 3 hours so he will call me back after 3 hours but i haven't get any call from them. As it is mentioned in the 3x refund policy that if I cancelled the ticket before chart preparation then I am not able to get these 3x refund facility. But it is not mentioned anywhere that for partial cancellation I am not eligible for 3x refund facility. So, I request you to provide me the 3x refund benefit what is committed on your portal during the ticket booking. The company has not taken any step to resolve my complaint. I request you to please take action return my money back.
