I booked MMT holidays package worth 2.75 lacs. While booking MMT employee told me that all the bookings (hotel etc) are refundable that's why prices were on the higher side. I could also see 1 rupee booking for the same hotels on MMT itself. They provided visa assistance (that was useless to be honest as their employee just copy pasted details from embassy website, and provided cover letter that had many grammatical errors), and my Visa got accepted but my wife's visa got rejected. When I updated this to MMT employee, they told me that they would be cancelling my booking and there's no refund for this booking.
I had specifically asked before booking what will happen if visa got refused, they said "charges mostly don't apply", and in the booking mail they had mentioned "Once we get a request for cancellation, we shall check on minimum penalty applied to MMT by the airlines/hotels/vendors and the balance amount shall be given in the form of Holiday voucher or shifted to another booking id for any other holiday package as per your preference.", they never mentioned that "minimum penalty" here would be complete booking amount.
As booking involves cab, hotels, site tours, ferries, they all should be refundable with some penalty, I don't understand where they are charging all the cancellation fees from.
I tried contacting them again, they told me that they would update me after talking to ops team, but now no one is picking my calls, neither replying to WhatsApp messages, although I can see them online.
