I booked two return tickets to new york on sunday 24th sept 2017. When i booked the first ticket the system showed that i qualified for a cash back offer.
While booking the second ticket i tried to use the cash back but the system just kept stalling without giving me any further information and i wasn't able to use the cash back.
I called the customer service and asked for help. They kept transferring me to different desks until the call got cancelled.
Nevertheless i went ahead and booked the tickets without using the cash back.
Within 24 hours i realised the event for which i was travelling has changed its timing and i kept calling mmt to make the changes as i am allowed to make changes without cost within 24 hours. However, i wasn't able to connect to anybody until 8p. M
Having connected to them at 8p. M they said that as the 24 hrs have lapsed i need to pay rs 28000 for change of dates.
I tried reasoning with them but to no avail.
The website only talks about cancellation and date changes it does not give any information on change of timing of the flights.
I asked them if i could change the time of the flight too but the payment needed was rs28000.
They wouldn't also allow me to cancel one leg of the journey again information of which hasn't been given on the site.
I have lost rs21000 because of their ineffective system and i haven't been able to use the cash back offer either.
In addition to the loss of money, it is the time and effort that goes to try and speak to the staff and convince them about the issue.
